Hola Extra Virgin Olive Oil lovers! The summer is now here (make you think of Spain?) and so it’s time for another Extra Virgin Olive Oil Masterclass to learn more about: • The differences between Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Virgin Olive Oil and Olive Oil. • How to recognise nuances in flavour: fruitiness, bitterness and pungency. • Understanding the best uses in the kitchen for the different varieties • Its health benefits.
This time it will be ‘al fresco’ at Bar Tozino at 6.30 pm so let’s hope the sun is still shining. On 23rd June the World’s Best Extra Virgin Olive Oils from this harvest 2014/15 were ranked and we will be tasting some of them such as Venta Baron (ranked no1), Oro de Bailen (picual ranked 4) and Finca La Torre (ranked no 6). Straight after the session there will be a social gathering where we will enjoy some Tapas kindly provided by Bar Tozino: • Spanish omelette • Salmorejo cordobes with iberico ham and egg. • Manchego cheese. • Boquerones and anchovies ( in Extra virgin olive oil ) • Lomo Iberico de Bellota • Jamon de Teruel DOP • Pan con Tomate (bread with tomato) • Arroz negro (black rice) The cost of the Masterclass and Tapas will be £21 to pay online.
